Happy New Year!  Lisa Consiglio Ryan recently requested I offer helpful tips on tending ourselves in the Winter Season, for her Winter Renewal Program with Whole Health Designs.  On this snowy day, here's a copy of the recording for you too.  Take a listen and feel free to drop me a line via the our 'contact' page too.  May this late winter season bring you reassurance, the sense of being heard, as well as the gift of listening too! Thank you for your listening!

The Chinese Word for 'Anxiety'

1/9/2016

So many in our "Oneness" are challenged with what we call "anxiety."
A colleague in our field shared the following on the word this week.

"Regarding your question about a Chinese word for anxiety -- it is 憂 - pronounced "you."  It consists of the radical for head, the character for heart, and the radical for cautious or slow walking.  Anxiety is what captures the heart and head to provoke careful or caution in the rhythm or pace of life. " Jeffrey Yuen

An opportunity indeed to shift the pace of our living, especially in this transitional season from winter into springtime. And thanks to Chichio Hand for passing this along! :)
